Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Reelsomat (“Reelsomat”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Reelsomat website, dashboard, mobile apps and public API (together, the “service”).

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and the way we handle data described in our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Reelsomat.

If you use Reelsomat for a business or another organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that organisation.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Reelsomat is not for children, and we close accounts we believe belong to someone under 18.

You can't use Reelsomat if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms, or if the law where you live prohibits you from using it.

• Give us accurate sign-up details and keep your email address up to date: we send important account notices there.
• Keep your password, sign-in methods and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity in your account, including by anyone you let use it.
• Tell us straight away at hello@reelsomat.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
• One person or organisation per account. Don't create accounts to get around plan limits, free allowances or a suspension.

Reelsomat helps you make short videos (such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels) and longer videos, and can publish them to channels you connect. Depending on your plan, features include:

• AI-written scripts and topic suggestions, or your own script or voiceover;
• AI voices, including Indian-language voices and, on some plans, a cloned version of your own voice;
• visuals from stock libraries, your own uploads (“My media”), AI-generated images and clips, and animated text;
• on-screen hosts: our fictional Cast characters, characters you design, or characters made from your own photo or clip, with optional lip sync;
• sets (backgrounds), looks, captions, a royalty-free music library and an editable storyboard for every video;
• turning a long recording into several Shorts;
• scheduled “autopilot” publishing to connected YouTube and Instagram accounts; and
• a public API for creating and publishing videos programmatically.

Features, limits and the AI models we use change over time. We may add, change or remove features, and we may switch providers to keep the service working well.

Much of what Reelsomat produces (scripts, voices, images, clips, music choices, titles and descriptions) is generated by third-party AI models. Please keep in mind:

• It can be wrong. AI-written scripts can contain factual errors, out-of-date information or invented details, even when they sound confident.
• It may not be unique. Other users can receive similar or identical output from similar requests. We don't promise that any output is original, exclusive to you or protectable as your intellectual property.
• It can be unexpected. Output can occasionally be inappropriate, low quality or not what you asked for. We use filters and checks, but they are not perfect.

You must review every video (script, visuals, audio, title and description) before it is published, and you choose whether autopilot posts without review. Take particular care with news, health, medical, legal, financial and safety topics: Reelsomat output is not professional advice and must not be presented as if it were.

“Your content” means what you give us (prompts, topics, scripts, uploads, photos, clips, voice recordings, settings) and what the service generates for you (scripts, voiceovers, images, clips and finished videos).

You own it

As between you and us, you keep all rights you have in your inputs, and we assign to you any rights we have in the output generated for you. Some output, such as stock footage and music library tracks, stays subject to the licences described below. Whether AI-generated material is protected by copyright depends on the law where you are.

The licence you give us

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example re-encode, crop, caption and combine) and transmit your content, only as needed to operate, provide, secure and improve the service for you, including sending it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy and publishing it to the accounts you connect. This licence ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where we must keep them by law.

No AI training

We do not use your content to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop AI models, and we don't sell it. “Improve the service” means things like fixing bugs, measuring reliability and tuning our own settings, not training models on your material.

Marketing

We will only show your content in our marketing (for example on our website or social channels) if you agree, or if it is already publicly available on your channel and we credit you. You can ask us to stop at any time.

You promise that:

• you own, or have all permissions needed for, everything you upload or provide, including music, footage, images, scripts, logos and voice recordings;
• every identifiable person shown or voiced in material you provide has agreed to it being used this way (see Real people);
• your content and its publication will not break any law or anyone else's rights, including copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity and data-protection rights; and
• you will follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

You are the publisher. You are responsible for everything published to your channels through Reelsomat, whether you publish manually, on a schedule or via autopilot or the API. That includes following the rules of each platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and others), their policies on AI-generated and altered content, advertising and sponsorship disclosure rules, and any laws that apply to you and your audience.

AI labels. Where a platform requires AI or synthetic-content disclosure, you are responsible for it. When we upload to YouTube, we turn on YouTube's “altered or synthetic content” setting automatically for videos with realistic AI people or AI footage. This is a convenience, not a guarantee: check the setting yourself and change it where needed.

Some features let you use a real person's face or voice: characters made from a photo or clip, lip sync of those characters, and voice cloning.

• Only yourself, or with permission. You may only use your own face or voice, or that of someone who has given you their clear, written permission for this use. You must be able to show us that permission if we ask.
• Never children or public figures. Don't upload anyone who is, or may be, under 18, and don't use public figures, celebrities or politicians.
• We record consent. When you confirm consent we store who confirmed it and when. To use a real face as it is, the person shown must also record a short live consent video reading the consent sentence; we keep it privately with the character as a record of their consent. Our automated checks may reject a photo, clip or consent video (for example if it shows more than one face, may show a minor, appears to show a well-known person, or the consent video doesn't show the same person saying the sentence).
• Withdrawal. If the person withdraws permission, you must stop using their likeness or voice and delete the character or cloned voice.
• We may refuse or remove. We can refuse, disable or delete any character, clip, cloned voice or video that we reasonably believe uses someone's likeness or voice without permission, and act on complaints from the person concerned.

Using someone's likeness or voice to deceive, impersonate, sexualise, harass or defame them is strictly prohibited (see our Acceptable Use Policy).

Our ready-made Cast hosts, and characters you design from a description, are fictional, AI-generated characters. They are not based on real people, and any resemblance to a real person is coincidental. Don't present a Cast host as a real person, give it a real person's name, or use it to suggest a real person said or endorsed something.

Tracks in the Reelsomat music library were generated for us with a licensed AI music service. While you have an account, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use library tracks as part of videos made with Reelsomat, including in commercial and monetised videos on your own channels. That licence continues for videos published while it applied.

You may not extract, download, distribute, sell, sublicense or register library tracks on their own (for example as music releases, sound packs or in content-ID systems), or use them outside videos made with Reelsomat. Tracks may carry inaudible watermarks that identify them as AI-generated.

Stock photos and videos come from third-party libraries such as Pexels and remain subject to those providers' licences. Generally they may be used in your videos but not sold or redistributed on their own, and they must not be used in a way that suggests a person shown endorses you or your product.

Reelsomat relies on third-party AI and infrastructure providers (listed in our Privacy Policy). Their own usage policies also apply to what you create with their models. Where their rules are stricter than ours, the stricter rule applies.

Connected platforms (YouTube, Instagram and others) are run by other companies. They can change their features, APIs or policies, reject or remove uploads, or limit your account, and we are not responsible for their decisions.

Reelsomat uses YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos on channels you connect. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you must follow YouTube's Community Guidelines and policies. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

You can revoke Reelsomat's access to your Google account at any time from your Google security settings, as well as by disconnecting the channel in Reelsomat. How we use data from YouTube is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Reelsomat uses the Instagram Graph API to publish Reels to Instagram Business or Creator accounts you connect. Your use is also governed by the Instagram Terms of Use and the Meta Terms of Service, and you must follow Instagram's Community Guidelines.

You can remove Reelsomat's access at any time in your Facebook Business Integrations settings.

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: nothing illegal, nothing that harms children, no deepfakes or impersonation of real people without consent, no deceptive political or news content, no hate, harassment, scams or spam, no infringement, and no attempts to bypass our safeguards or abuse the service.

We use automated checks (for example on prompts, scripts, photos and generated media) and human review where needed. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may review, refuse to generate, refuse to publish, unpublish or delete content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the law or a platform's rules.

We may limit features, pause autopilot, or suspend or close your account if you break these terms or we need to protect users, third parties or the service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. For serious breaches (such as content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud or attacks on the service) we may act immediately and without notice, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

If you think we got a decision wrong, email hello@reelsomat.com with the details and we will look at it again.

To report content made with Reelsomat that you believe is unlawful, infringes your rights or misuses your likeness or voice, email hello@reelsomat.com.

Copyright and other IP notices

Please include:

1. your name and contact details (and, if you act for someone else, who you represent);
2. a description of the work or right you say is being infringed;
3. where the content is (for example the YouTube or Instagram link, or other details that let us find it);
4. a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
5. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and
6. your physical or electronic signature.

Content published on YouTube or Instagram is hosted by those platforms. We will act on material in Reelsomat (for example disabling a project or unpublishing a video we uploaded) and, for content on a platform, you may also need to use that platform's own reporting tools.

Counter-notices

If we remove your content after a notice and you believe this was a mistake or you have the right to use the material, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, the content concerned, why you believe the removal was wrong, and your signature. We may share it with the person who complained.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe other people's rights.

• Plans. Reelsomat has a free plan and paid plans, billed monthly or yearly. Each plan includes allowances (such as videos per month, cloned-voice videos, lip-sync videos or long-video analyses). Current prices and allowances are shown on our pricing page and in your account.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number. Prices may exclude taxes, which are added where required.
• Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance about any price increase, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Billing in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your plan until then.
• Allowances. Monthly allowances reset at the start of each month and do not roll over unless we say otherwise. They have no cash value and can't be transferred.
• Changing plans. You can upgrade or downgrade through Billing. Stripe calculates any charge or credit for the rest of the period.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry it, and if it still can't be collected we may move your account to the free plan.

Refunds

Except where these terms or the law say otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable, including for partly used periods or unused allowances. If you were charged by mistake (for example twice, or after you cancelled), contact hello@reelsomat.com and we will put it right.

If you live somewhere that gives consumers a legal right to cancel online purchases (for example the 14-day cancellation period in the UK and EU), you keep that right. Because Reelsomat supplies digital content and services immediately, when you ask us to start generating videos during the cancellation period you agree that we begin straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel for digital content once supply has begun, or, for services, that you may have to pay for what was provided before you cancelled, as the law allows.

If your plan includes API access, you can create API keys in your account. Our API documentation describes how the API works. When using the API:

• keep keys secret and rotate them if exposed: you are responsible for all use of your keys;
• stay within the rate limits and plan allowances, and don't try to work around them;
• don't resell, sublicense or offer API access to third parties as a standalone service, or use it to build a competing product; and
• content created through the API is subject to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy in the same way as content made in the dashboard.

We may change, rate-limit or retire API features, and revoke keys that are abused or put the service at risk.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or by emailing hello@reelsomat.com. Deleting your account cancels any paid plan straight away, so you won't be charged again; the current period isn't refunded.

If we close your account for breaking these terms, any remaining allowances are forfeited and you may not open a new account without our permission.

When an account is closed we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy. Videos already published to YouTube, Instagram or elsewhere stay on those platforms until you remove them there. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example ownership, the music licence for published videos, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) survive closure.

We work hard to keep Reelsomat useful and reliable, but the service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, including that:

• output will be accurate, complete, lawful, original, unique, fit for a particular purpose or free of third-party rights;
• the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time, or that scheduled videos will publish on time;
• connected platforms will accept, keep or recommend your videos; or
• you will gain views, subscribers, followers, monetisation or income.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by contract.

To the extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, income, views, channel standing, business opportunity, goodwill or data, however caused; and
• our total liability to you for all claims relating to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and liabilities arising from claims by others relating to: your content; its publication to any platform (including by autopilot or the API); your use of anyone's likeness or voice; or your breach of these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the law. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take part in the response. This does not apply where the loss was caused by our own breach or negligence.

We may update these terms as the service, the law or our providers' requirements change. For material changes we will give you reasonable notice, usually at least 14 days, by email or in the dashboard, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. The date at the top shows the latest version.

If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using Reelsomat and delete your account before it takes effect. If you keep using the service afterwards, the updated terms apply.

• These terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• We may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over the service, and will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer it without our consent.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at providers or platforms.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.
